Subscription & Support Terms
Subscribing is optional
Selah's core content — the 7-day reflection paths, the AI Companion, and the Hebrew and Greek word studies — is free, and a subscription is never required to use it. The optional Selah subscription exists to unlock additional content and features for those who want to walk further, and to help cover Selah's real operating costs (especially AI Companion usage) so Selah can stay free for the next person.
What you receive
A Selah subscription is an optional paid plan. While active, it unlocks additional content or features (for example, expanded AI Companion use or extended paths). Because a subscription unlocks features, it is treated as a payment for those features, not as a gift or charitable donation. Free access to the core 7-day paths does not depend on subscribing.
Tax treatment
Selah is not operated by a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Payments to Selah are NOT tax-deductible charitable donations. They are payments for an optional subscription. Consult your own tax advisor.
Payments and processing
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Your use of the processor is also subject to the processor's terms and privacy policy.
Recurring subscriptions
Before you complete purchase, we will clearly disclose the recurring price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any trial-to-paid conversion terms. By selecting the paid plan and confirming purchase, you authorize recurring charges until cancellation. After purchase, we will send an acknowledgment that includes the subscription terms and a cancellation link or instructions. You may cancel online in Settings using a cancellation path that is at least as easy as sign-up, or by emailing support@selahapp.app. Cancellation stops future charges and does not retroactively refund prior charges unless required by law or approved under our refund policy.
Refunds
Subscription charges are generally non-refundable, but we will consider good-faith refund requests made within 14 days of a charge at support@selahapp.app. Where law requires a refund right (including for recurring billing), that law controls.
No promises about outcomes
A subscription supports Selah and unlocks features. It does not purchase any spiritual, emotional, or health outcome, and the disclaimers in the Terms of Service and the Medical & Clinical Disclaimer still apply in full.
Tone
Consistent with Selah's standing copy principles: the core 7-day paths are always free, there is no hard paywall, no urgency, and no countdowns. Paid content is framed for "those walking further," and support is framed as helping cover operating cost.
Changes
We may change the subscription, its features, or these terms as Selah develops. We'll update the date above and, for material changes affecting active subscribers, give notice where appropriate.
